Actress, Funke Akindele loses her polling unit to Lagos State incumbent governor

As election results are being collated across polling units across the country, reports reveal that Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele might have lost the election.

Glamsquad reported that Funke Akindele contested as deputy governor in Lagos State, alongside her principal, Olajide Jandor under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to reports, the mother of two has lost her polling unit 019, Ita Aro square, Àga/Ijimu ward in Ikorodu to the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Further reports show that from the results collated from the polling unit, PDP secured a total of 19 votes, APC secured 77 votes and Labour Party scored 3 votes.

Funke Akindele who lost her mother weeks back receive support from some of her colleagues such as Ruth Kadiri, Alex Ekubo, Bukunmi Oluwasina, Monalisa Stephen and others.

It is worth noting that her supposed best friend, Eniola Badmus has been a staunch supporter of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
