Oby Ezekwesili pens note to politicians as thugs take over polling units

As Netizens continue to report about the thuggery and tribalism that took over their various polling units, the former Minister of Education, Obiageli ‘Oby’ Ezekwesili has penned a note to politicians.

Taking to microblogging platform, Twitter, Ezekwesili said politicians created a system of criminal-minded people to unleash mayhem on those they ought to govern unprovoked. Describing their attitude in a nutshell, she noted how the so-called politicians will appear in church on Sunday to call on God’s name.

She tweeted:

“In your desperation for power, you designed a coordinated web of criminal gangs to kill and maim your Citizens who did no wrong whatsoever, and tomorrow you’ll go into a Church to call the name of God?

“I can assure you that chewing concrete as salad would be a child’s play.”

Oby Ezekwesili was the presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) in 2019. However, she withdrew from the race on 24th January. She disclosed that her goal is to start a coalition that would provide an alternative to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

She is also the convener of  ‘Bring Back Our Girls’ movement that was kick started after two hundred and seventy six (276) students, mostly Christian aged from 16 to 18 were kidnapped by the Islamic terrorist group identified as Boko Haram from the Government Girls Secondary School at the town of Chibok in Borno State on the night of April 14 2014.
