Nollywood actress cum politician Funke Akindele has commended Mrs Bina Jennifer Efidi, the woman who has been tagged Nigeria’s election hero for coming back to vote after being stabbed by some thugs at her polling unit.
Akindele who is contesting to become the Deputy Governor of Lagos State under PDP revealed that her principal, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran better known as Jandor visited the injured woman.

She added that Efidi’s bravery is undoubtedly a source of inspiration for her.
She wrote:
“It is so sad to see the violence and intimidation that has ravaged the process of choosing our next president at the just concluded presidential elections.
Mrs Bina Jennifer Efidi was a victim of the usual election thuggery that has plagued us for over 2 decades. She’s truly a hero and her bravery is one to be saluted. Your bravery is undoubtedly a source of inspiration for me.
A big thank you to my principal @officialjandor for visiting Mrs Bina Jennifer Efidi. It is indeed a sheer gesture of true leadership,” Funke Akindele wrote on her verified Instagram page.
Mrs Bina Jennifer Efidi was attacked at her polling unit in the Surulere area of the state on Saturday, 25th February during the general election by thugs who stormed the location and destroyed election materials.
They hit people that tried to confront them including the brave woman who sustained a head injury.
However, this didn’t stop the woman from voting as she returned to her polling unit after her wounds were treated to cast her vote.
This act brought her fame and fortune as some well to do Nigerian have started donating massively for her upkeep.
