Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri has drummed support for her colleague, Funke Aki ndele ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election.
The mother of two took to her Instagram page to show support for Funke Akindele who is vying for the position of deputy governor under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State.

Sharing her reasons behind support for her colleague, Ruth Kadiri noted that Funke as being hardworking, tough, emotional and fits the job.
She wrote:
It’s election season! And @funkejenifaakindele is my candidate. Reasons been.
“You’re hardworking, You’re smart, You’re tough, You’re emotional, Above all you’re disciplined. You dare to tread where others won’t fly. You’re a risk taker.
“I know you’re a film maker. I trust you will do a good job YOU HAVE MY VOTE❤️👏
Funke Akindele faces other contenders such as the sitting governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Labour Party’s candidate, Gbadebo Chinedu Rhodes-Vivour, also known as GRV.
