Debo Adebayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, a famous Nigerian social critic and skit maker, has warned Lagos residents to be wary of those fanning the embers of tribal hatred ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election, glamsquad reports
Mr. Macaroni expressed regret that some people were spreading incitement against tribes.
His statement was made in a tweet from his verified Twitter handle.
He stated that those pursuing their own interests should not be allowed to incite hatred among Nigerians.
“It’s heartbreaking to see people sharing inciting content against tribes. We have been living in harmony. We’re doing business together and getting married.
“Do not let people, because of their own interests, cause hate among us.
“Say No to Tribal Warfare!”
“Let us Preach Peace,” he wrote on Twitter.
