The Met Gala 2021 is here, and Glam Squad Magazine promised to bring you all the juice of the event as American celebrities strut the runway.
According to the BBC, the Met Gala laid out its red carpet in New York this year for some of the world’s most well-known celebrities.
The Gala is organized to raise funds for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but it is back after being postponed last year because to the epidemic.
And, despite the fact that renowned visitors must adhere to Covid-19 restrictions, which include wearing masks indoors, many have gone all out to flaunt their glitz and opulence.
Every edition of the Met Gala has a theme, and this year’s is “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” with outfits influenced by anything from the Matrix film franchise to the Statue of Liberty.
Billie Eilish, tennis player Naomi Osaka, actor Timothée Chalamet, and poet Amanda Gorman are co-hosting the event.
Kim Kardashian wore an all-encompassing black costume that covered her face and body, and it was one of the most talked-about looks of the night.
Demna Gvasalia, the creative director of fashion label Balenciaga, created the bespoke design.
Serena Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam winner, wore a star-spangled bodysuit beneath a feather-laden pink cape to make a more colorful statement.
Others, on the other hand, brought props to go with their attire.
Singer Frank Ocean carried a green robotic infant without explanation, while musician Grimes wielded a sword.
Rihanna, who has previously stolen the show with ensembles such as a Pope-inspired costume in 2018, was among the last to arrive at the Gala.
The singer and businesswoman posed in an all-black Balenciaga cloak, while her boyfriend, rapper A$AP Rocky, was wrapped in a multicolored quilt.
