Nigerian musician, actor, entrepreneur, politician, and pastor Banky W has always taken time to talk about his struggles with pornography in the past.
During his sermon titled “The Prison of Pornography” on Sunday, June 25, 2023, the “Wedding Party” actor discussed his journey through beating addiction to pornography.
Banky hailed the impact of his wife, Adesua Etomi Wellington, on his life and revealed that she was instrumental in helping him overcome the addiction.
He disclosed that while fighting the addiction, he would call Adesua and spend long hours conversing with her just to resist the urge to watch pornography during his recovery.

Banky said:
“If I don’t thank God for anything in my life, I thank God for this woman (pointing to his wife). It’s important to have somebody you can talk with, pick the right person and open up about your struggle.
“When I was still dealing with pornography, I would call this woman and talk with her for hours on the phone just so I wouldn’t break.”
Banky W trended online last weekend after it was alleged that he cheated on his wife with former record label signee Niyola.
Critics called out the actor and asked him to defend himself in public. Banky did not release any statement debunking the rumours and went on to post a family picture of him and his wife, Adesua, kissing while in the company of their son.
Many took the post as a response to the rumors, indicating that his family bond remains strong. Others have asked him to release a statement cancelling the rumour.
