At last year’s Lagos fashion design week, Tokyo James, Creative Director behind British Nigerian contemporary menswear brand, Tokyo James wowed us with his collection, raising our expectations for more to come and without a doubt, we are not disappointed. Last week he dropped teasers of his new autumn winter 2017 campaign called ‘End Times: Son of God’ on social media and we itched for more.

Tokyo James and his army of models pictured in branded helmets, and suits and trench coats in black calf skin, suits in green printed jacquard fabric to translate the old military uniform, paid with carry ons and duffel bags made from croc and calf skin.
In his words;
It’s with great joy I share with you my Aw17 Campaign, inspired by the current Political and Economic Situation of the world, these are truly troubling times, the notion of freedom is a very fragile concept and something that we constantly need to fight to protect, because what binds us all together is love and our humanity, regardless of our race, religion, gender or sexuality.
If the freedom of any of us is at risk then the freedom of all of us is at risk. I would like to thank everyone that believes and supports me, and thank you to my costumer without you this wouldn’t be possible.
