Kevin Hart led BET’s mockumentary comic reality series “Real Husbands of Hollywood” Season 5 premiere date has been revealed by BET as October 11. The fourth season of the comic series which kicked off on August 18, 2015 and its premiere garnered 1.7 million viewers and went ahead to be named as the most watched TV show on BET. BET announced that “Real Husbands of Hollywood” has been renewed for a fifth season, which is scheduled to debut on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, on BET.
Frankly, the decision or renewal was quite predictable, after the show’s creator and star of the series Kevin Hart won the viewer’s choice award for Favorite Cable TV Actor for his performance in “Real Husbands of Hollywood” Besides, the television ratings were quite strong, averaged almost 1.0 million viewers each week. Moreover the mockumentary reality series was 6 times nominated and awarded twice in different categories for NAACP Image Award during the two previous years.
“Real Husbands of Hollywood” is a comic reality series, mocking various reality shows and series like “Housewives”. It follows the lives of celebrity comedians Kevin Hart, Boris Kodjoe, Nelly, Duane Martin, J.B. Smoove, Nick Cannon, playing an exaggerated version of themselves. They sneer at Hart’s desperate attempts to become a part of celebrity squad. Each episode has a guest star. In each season four guest stars have included Wayne Brady, Jackie Long, Chris Brown, Nia Long, Johnny Depp, Mehgan Trainor, Gabrielle Union, Ariana Grande, Michael Ealy, and more.
