Nigerian comedian and actor Bovi Ugboma has lamented over his loss at the 2024 The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) loss.
Bovi who was nominated for the Best Writing TV series for his work on Visa On Arrival at the just concluded 10th edition of AMVCA, lost to Mona Ombogo of Volume.
Taking to his Instagram, the comedian fumed and noted how he has bagged seven nominations since inception, with 4 being individual nominations, yet he hasn’t won any award.

Despite this, he remains optimistic, believing that by the 20th anniversary of AMVCA, he’ll have won 10 awards. Holding no grudges, he congratulated all the winners, acknowledging their deserving achievements.
He wrote,
“amvca 10 All my nominations since inception -7 Individual nominations- 4 Wins- 0 Expected wins before #amvca20 – 10 Congrats to all the winners from last night. Very deserving”.
