Eedris Abdulkareem expresses disappointment and sadness in note to Burna Boy over death wish

Veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem had penned a letter to his junior colleague, Burna Boy, for wishing him dead.

In a post on his Instagram page, Eedris stated he felt really sad and disappointed that the Grammy-winning singer would want someone to die. He said it was not right to make fun of his health problems and blame the people who helped him get better. He thinks it’s a very shameful thing to do.

He also said that while threatening his life is serious, acting as if he has the power of God is the most sickening and disrespectful joke ever.

Eedris announced that he would respond to Burna Boy using his expertise in music, hinting at a song aimed at him.

He wrote;

“ESSAY TO BURNA BOY” FOR WISHING ME DEAD

Wishing me or any other person dead is truly saddening and very disappointing.
Making fun of my health crisis and blaming people who helped to keep me alive is very shameful.
Threatening my life is a different ball game, but for you to play God? That’s the most nauseating foul prank of all time.

Now, conscientious Nigerians and the general public are weighing into the matter and you instantly deleted your demonic prayers for me.

I’ll reply through the only medium that I have…and that is music; so I will be dropping my heartfelt response via a single aptly named “Essay to Burn Boy” in a fortnight.

Stay tuned for that because
“No man be GOD”.

Glamsquad reported that Eedris had shared his thoughts on the music industry and Burna Boy during a segment from an unreleased episode of the renowned podcast, The Honest Bunch.

The singer criticized Burna Boy for a statement he made years ago, where he claimed that none of his senior colleagues had adequately prepared him for success.

Burna claimed that nobody in the Nigerian music industry had ever supported him, as musicians were too focused on their endeavours or busy criticizing the accomplishments of others.

In response, Eedris dismissed Burna’s remarks as foolish. Burna Boy criticized him stating that he blamed the people who donated money for his hospital bills last year, as he added that he wished the singer was someone who could enter the kind of places, he enters so they can meet.
