Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has shared an unpopular opinion about the Nigerian movie industry known as ‘Nollywood’.
In a series of thoughts shared on his Instagram stories, Bisi noted that Nollywood actors can interpret their roles because they play the same role always.
According to him, veteran actress, Sola Sobowale will always remain an icon over others because she delivers a hundred percent over any role she is assigned.
Taking a swipe at movie streaming platform, Netflix, Bisi said that most of the Nollywood movies on the streaming platform are not up to standard and the platform is concerned about the streaming numbers as majority of “money junk Nigerians” are subscribed to it.
