Naeem Khan Runway Show for New York Fashion Week FW23 Ready To Wear Collection were exactly as we imagined it; classy and bold – as most of the design displayed hold unique colors.

Trust the fashion house to put their customers choices at heart when producing such epic designs.

Khan has his own vocabulary, which includes the use of fringe, floral embroidery, capes and dresses, and sequined mermaid gowns in the style of Norman Norell. The spring display contained them all. Sadly, the designer also relied on signatures that weren’t his own. Dresses with bodices shaped like swirling flowers and all-pink ensembles appeared to be inspired by Valentino’s designs.

The raffia-stitched items that opened the show—using a simple material for evening was interesting—and a floaty dress that was painstakingly and artistically “decorated” with embroidered and beaded sea creatures—were the pieces that felt the most distinctive. Khan’s use of diamanté crystal beads that shone on the body in such a way that there would be no need for photographers as the flash was built in was as significant as Kate Beckinsale in the closing look.
