Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on a 3-day visit to Nigeria

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in Nigeria for a three-day private visit.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived on Friday for a private visit following an invitation by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa.

As reported by the Daily Mail, their flight experienced a slight delay due to the scheduled pilot falling ill, necessitating a swift arrangement for a replacement.

The Director of Sports, Defence Headquarters, DHQ, Air Vice Marshal Abidemi Marquis, said the founder of Invictus Games will spend three days in Nigeria and would interact with wounded soldiers and their families.

Marquis said that Harry, the founder of Invictus Games will spend three days in Nigeria, interacting with wounded soldiers and their families. The DHQ sports director noted that the visit slated from 10th to 13th May 2024 will help the wounded soldiers in their recovery efforts.

Following their arrival at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, the couple made their way to the Lights Academy in Abuja, where they interacted with the students.

This is their first official international tour since stepping back from their royal roles in 2020.
