Maren Morris claims that, especially in light of the royal family’s recent history, the wave of hatred directed at the Meghan Markle is absurd.
The singer acknowledges she hasn’t watched the Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan,” but claims to have witnessed “This profound hatred and annoyance at Meghan Markle, specifically, mostly coming from women” and she doesn’t understand it.
Taking to TikTok, Maren said: “People are saying a woman should never take a man away from his family, that’s all that this is. Um, have you seen his family?”
The Sussexes are extremely critical of the royal family as a whole, blasting it for, at best, unconscious bias… or, at worst, planting purposefully racist attacks against Meghan in the media, even though the new documentary has so far been light on direct attacks on specific family members.
Maren appears to know exactly why Meghan and Harry abandoned their senior royal status and emigrated to America. She cited the treatment of Princess Margaret, sister of Queen Elizabeth, and King Edward VIII as examples of mistreatment in her opinion. And don’t even get her started on Princess Diana.
Maren says “Harry’s mother didn’t leave her children but she left the family.”
