Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle issued a brief statement expressing support for the Princess of Wale, Kate Middleton after she disclosed her cancer diagnosis.
Glamsquad reported that Kate Middleton revealed on Friday, March 22, that she has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
In a video message, Kate Middleton disclosed that the cancer was discovered during extensive abdominal surgery she underwent earlier this year at the London Clinic.
The 42-year-old princess elaborated that she required time to recover from the surgery before commencing “preventative chemotherapy,” as advised by her medical team.
Reacting to the news, Prince Harry and Meghan the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wished Kate and her family healing and good health. They also wished they can heal privately in peace.
The statement reads,
“We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
Meanwhile, according to Buckingham Palace, King Charles and Queen Camilla stated that they are “so proud” of the Princess of Wales “for her courage in speaking as she did”.
The statement further mentioned that the monarch, who himself received a cancer diagnosis in February, maintains the “closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law.”
