Afrobeats sensation, Davido, is known for his swift reactions to various situations. He doesn’t hesitate to respond when faced with issues or events.
In the lates development, Davido appears to be expressing his discontent with his logistics manager, Isreal DMW, as he recently unfollowed him on Instagram.
This comes after Glamsquad reported that Isreal DMW issued a public apology on behalf of Davido to the Muslim community. The unfollow action hints at possible tension between the two individuals.
Recall that Davido had been under fire from Muslims across the country after he shared a snippet of the music video of his signee, Logos Olori entitled ‘Jaye Lo’ on his Twitter page on Saturday, 22nd July 2023.
The video, considered a disrespectful portrayal of the Islamic religion, received widespread criticism. This led to protests by several Northern youths who took to the streets, vandalizing banners that displayed the singer’s face.
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) also called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to probe Davido.
Following the backlash, Isreal took to his Instagram story on Tuesday to issue an apology to the Muslim community.
According to Isreal DMW, the music video was meant to be a form of entertainment but was unfortunately presented in a misguided manner.
He noted that Davido’s intentions were merely to support and promote up-and-coming singers, as he often does.
The now-deleted Instagram post reads;
“Let me specially apologise to my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies”.
“It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”
However, despite the widespread backlash, Davido has chosen to maintain silence on the matter.
Glamsquad discovered that the singer had unfollowed his aide on Instagram again.
