Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe Damijo popularly known as RMD is all shades of happiness as he becomes a member of the Oscars Voting Academy.
RMD became a member of the film academy alongside star-studded actors Kunle Afolayan, Shola Dada, Jade Osiberu, and CJ ‘Fiery’ Obasi among others.
Sharing a screenshot of a post published by Business Day, the actor noted how he kept seeing congratulatory messages online but was unaware of the brain behind it.
He added that his membership of ‘OSCAR’, is the best birthday gift which came few days to the month of July his birth month. Read also
He wrote,
“I just kept seeing messages of congratulations but I didn’t know what to make of it. My people did some digging and they confirmed it is on their official website. So, it’s official. Congratulations are in order!
Best Birthday present comes early! July my birth month comes not only with perfection but plenty gifts!
Ps, I don’t know my sponsors for this yet but when I do I will say thank you again. My heart is glad!”.
On his part, Kunle Afolayan who also got an invitation, described this as an opportunity to serve.
He wrote,
“Another opportunity to serve. Shola Dada the writer of Roti and Anikulapo the movie and the forthcoming series is also a new member.
Thanks for the invitation”.
