A number of Nigerian artists have spoken out against their colleagues who use “streaming farms” to boost the popularity of their songs, glamsquad reports.

It all started with a Twitter feud between Ruger and Buju Benson.
During the Twitter feud, Benson claimed that there are now streaming farms in Nigeria where record label executives pay to get their artists’ songs on music charts, giving them an advantage over artists who rely on organic streams.
His tweet appeared to have struck a chord with other artists, and they have now joined him in speaking out against streaming farms.
Blaqbonez posted on Twitter: “Everyone who uses streaming farms will be exposed soon. Hushpuppi, Awon.”
Yemi Alade quoted BlaqBonez’s tweet, adding: “I’ve never seen a’realler’ tweet! Please frame this tweet for me. I’d like to put it on my wall.”
“And if you don’t dey pay these streaming farms, one guy from abule agba go borrow data come online talk say you fall off,” Olakira added.
“Y’all ruining the industry for genuine hustlers, Judgement day dey come,” he added.

In another tweet, BlaqBonez stated: “It’s actually so painful to say you should hustle, push your shit, and some niggas should just use money to buy the charts. The same men go out and give God credit. Continue, Lmao.”
