Singer, Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, who contested under the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for Eti Osa Federal House of Representative has broken his silence after losing the election.

Glamsquad reported that Banky W lost the Eti-Osa Federal constituency to a Labour Party candidate identified as Thaddeus Attah on 25th February 2023.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  had declared Thaddeus Attah the winner of the Eti-Osa Federal constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

According to Professor Funmilayo Odukoya, the INEC Returning Officer, Attah pulled a total of 24,075 votes to defeat his rival, Banky W of the People Democratic Party (PDP) who gathered 18,666 votes, and Mr Babajide Obanikoro of APC, who had 16,901 votes.

In a new development, the father of one shared a video of himself attending Sunday services where he expressed his disappointment over losing the election.

Banky W revealed that he had made extensive preparations for his anticipated victory, such as organizing a Sunday thanksgiving event and searching for an apartment and office in Abuja.

Despite the pain he feels, Banky W draws strength from his faith in God. The singer acknowledged that experiencing hurt is a possibility, but he remains resolute in his commitment to praising God. He also affirmed that his electoral defeat would not deter him from holding the planned thanksgiving event.
