Samsung’s most affordable 5G smartphone could be headed to the U.S

According to reports, Samsung is going to release a new A-series smartphone that will replace the Galaxy A22 5G as the company’s most affordable 5G product. According to Sammobile, the new gadget will be called as the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G and will be part of the company’s A-series lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G has been in the works for a long, and its presence has been reported for months, according to the report. However, newly leaked renders and specifications of the phone from tech publication GizNext lend validity to the rumors. All of the renders show the phone in a single black color scheme. However, the phone could be available in a wider range of colors. According to the Sammobile story, Samsung is reportedly planning to launch an LTE-only model of the phone in select areas.

In terms of hardware, the phone’s LTE and 5G variants both have a 6.5-inch display with a V-shaped notch for the selfie camera. As a cost-cutting strategy, Samsung is anticipated to use an IPS-LCD display on this phone. The phone’s 5G edition is rumored to employ the MediaTek Dimensity 700 CPU and will be available with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage choices.

The Galaxy A13 is also said to have a 5,000 mAh battery with 25-watt fast charging capabilities. The Galaxy A13, like most low-cost Samsung smartphones, will most likely include a microSD card slot for memory expansion as well as compatibility for dual SIM cards. The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G, as seen in the renders, features a triple-camera array on the back. While we don’t have specifics on the sensors employed here, earlier reports have suggested that the phone could sport a 50MP primary camera.

There is also a potential that, unlike the A22 5G, the Galaxy A13 5G will be officially released in the United States. This is due to the fact that three models of the phone with model numbers SM-A136U, SM-A136U1, and SM-A136W have surfaced in the Bluetooth SIG database. These model numbers are similar to the naming scheme used by Samsung for carrier-locked and unlocked smartphones sold in the United States.

While there is no definite debut date for the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G, the phone is expected to be launched in January 2022.
