Nigerian celebrities are not excluded from the weddings scheduled for 2022.

Family, friends, and fans gathered to rejoice as some of dia favorite celebrities married their sweethearts.

Here are some celebrities that got engaged or married in 2022.

Rita Dominic and Fidelis Anosike

Rita Dominic, a Nollywood actress, and Fidelis Anosike, a media entrepreneur, announced their engagement for a traditional wedding in April 2022.

Rita Dominic’s home town, Aboh Mbaise, Imo State, South-East Nigeria, is where traditional marriage rites took place.

Later that year, on November 26, 2022, the couple got married in Selby Abbey, North Yorkshire, England.

Friends and loved ones like Kate Henshaw, Chioma Akpotha, Toke Makinwa, Michelle Dede, and other celebrities attended the white wedding.

Kemi Adetiba and Oscar Heman-Ackah

Oscar Heman-Ackah, a music executive from Ghana, and Kemi Adetiba, a Nigerian film director and producer, got married in a traditional ceremony and in court in April 2022.

Following their courtship, Kemi and Oscar Heman Ackah wed in a lavish traditional ceremony.

MI Abaga and Eniola Mafe

Jude Abaga, aka MI, a popular Nigerian rapper, got married to Eniola Mafe in a church ceremony in September 2022.

The rapper, also known as The Guy, had their traditional marriage on Thursday, September 23, 2022.

Banky W, IK Osakioduwa, Basketmouth, Jesse Jagz (MI’s brother), and other celebrities attended the ceremony.

A day before the white wedding, both couples had traditional weddings.

The rapper revealed in April that he and Eniola are going to say “I do” to each other.

Mercy Chinwo and Blessed Uzochikwa

Mercy Chinwo, a popular gospel singer, and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, have come together for their white wedding, which took place in August 2022.

This comes after the gospel singer shocked fans on June 23, 2022, when she announced her engagement to Blessed Uzochikwa, the resident pastor of WaterBrook Church in Lagos.

Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, had a traditional wedding in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, a day before their white wedding.

Tim Godfrey, a Nigerian gospel singer, and his sweetheart Erica Katrina Jones had their white wedding for April 2022 in Culpeper, Virginia, USA.

Nigerian soul singer Olanike Laoye, also known as Nikki Laoye, married her long-time friend, Soul Snatcha, whose real name is Adekunle Adeyoola, on March 18, 2022.

Omowunmi Dada

Omowunmi Dada, a Nollywood actress, has announced her engagement to a man whose identity she has not yet revealed.

On Monday, December 26, the 33-year-old shared the news on Instagram.

She uploaded a photo of herself and the man, who was looking away from the camera.
