The African Export-Import Bank, under the Intra-African Trade Initiative Department and the African Development Bank (AfDB), under the leadership of the Gender, Women and Civil Society Department, invites you to attend the Afreximbank Creative Exchange Program (CAX) in partnership with African Development Bank’s (AfDB) Fashionomics Africa Masterclass Today- Saturday 26 October 2019.
The Afreximbank Creative Exchange (CAX) Program in partnership with AfDB’s Fashionomics Africa Flagship will engage 200 Creative Entrepreneurs operating in the textile, apparel and accessories (TA&A) sector and intends to equip them with the tools and knowledge to build a fashion brand.
This Masterclass is in line with Afreximbank’s Strategy for promoting and supporting the cultural and creative industries in Africa by providing technical capacity support to enable creative enterprises produce value-add goods and services competitively for local, regional and international markets. With the AfDB’s Fashionomics Africa Flagship, through which the AfDB intends to support micro, the creation of small and medium-sized businesses in the fashion and textile industry in Africa by sharing best practices and offering exposure to international standards and create a fashion business—from idea to execution.
The capacity building activities for Afreximbank’s CAX Program and AFDB’s Fashionomics Africa Flagship will be rolled out in partnership with Lagos Fashion Week, Co-Creation Hub and Federal Palace Hotel. The event will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel, 6-8 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
