The full list of nominees for the 15th edition of the Headies Awards was published yesterday, Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
Portable, Magixx, Ugoccie, Fave, Oxlade, Ayra Starr, Ruger, Fireboy DML, and more rave recording acts were nominated in several categories on the nomination list.
CKay, whose single ‘Love Nwantiti’ sold over 8 million units worldwide, was not nominated. Nigerians have resorted to social media to express their outrage over the omission of CKay from the 2022 Headies nominees.
While many people were ecstatic with their favourite’s nomination, some believe that CKay was robbed during this year’s nominations. Some say CKay, who had the year’s biggest single, ought to be recognized.

The Headies 2022 happens to be the 15th edition of the prestigious awards show. Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable who had long hoped to be nominated for a Headies Award grabbed 2 nominations.
The ‘Zazoo Zehh’ hit-maker has been nominated for the Best Street-Hop Artiste category and also in the Rookie Of The Year category. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia USA.
