This achievement qualifies CKay for a Double-Platinum record. In the United States of America, an album or single is eligible for a Platinum award after selling over a million copies.
Wizkid was the only musician who has sold over 2 million copies of ‘Essence’ featuring Tems prior to Ckay’s success. You may recall that Wizkid and Tems were granted a 2x Platinum record in the United States in November 2021.
