Céline Canadian pop diva, Céline Marie Claudette Dion, has announced the release of a new Album titled “Love Again”. Interestingly, it will serve as a soundtrack for a romantic comedy film of the same name.
Included in the album are five new songs in addition to some of her previous hits. The film, which stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan and is directed by Jim Strouse, is scheduled to hit theatres on May 5th.
In a statement, Céline Dion, 55, expressed her joy in appearing in the film and working with the talented actors. She said,
“I had a lot of fun doing this movie. And to have the privilege of appearing with beautiful and talented actors like Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan in my very first feature film is a gift that I will cherish forever.
“I think it’s a wonderful feel-good story, and I hope that people will like it, and like the new songs too”.
This is Céline Dion’s first album since she went public with her health challenges in 2022. She disclosed that she is suffering from a rare neurological disorder that was affecting her singing.
In a tearful video posted on Instagram a few months ago, Glamsquad recalls that Céline Dion revealed that she would not be able to start her European tour as planned due to muscle spasms caused by the disorder.
She later cancelled her North American tour and postponed her European tour until 2024.
The cancelled tour would have marked her first global concert in ten years and her first one without her husband-manager, Rene Angelil, who passed away from cancer in 2016.
