Controversial Afrobeats singer, Seun Kuti, has once again got Netizens talking as he shares more surprising details about his father, legendary musician Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
Speaking on the ‘Bahd & Boujee’ podcast hosted by Tolanibaj and Moet Abebe, Seun Kuti disclosed that his late father Fela had over hundred (100) concubines.
Seun Kuti explained that over hundred more women also lived with them in his father’s house.
He said,
“People only know of Fela’s 27 wives, they don’t know of his over 100 girlfriends that lived with us in the house”.
Consequently, Seun downplayed monogamy. He simply stated that it doesn’t work.
The father of one who is marrie to his only wife, Yetunde advised men to embrace polygamy. He stated that every man should have multiple women as it demonstrates power and affluence.
He said,
“Monogamy doesn’t work. As a powerful man, you must have the support of numerous powerful goddesses. You know, women that are in your life because the ancestors want to put them there. You share with them.”
