On May 13, 1960, he was born into the well-known Adeleke family in Ede, Osun State. His father, Raji Ayoola Adeleke, is a Muslim, and his mother, Nnena Esther Adeleke, is an Igbo Christian. From 1992 to 1999, he was the executive director of Guinness Nigeria plc, and from 2001 to 2016, he was the executive director of Pacific Holding Limited, his brother’s company.

From 1990 to 1994, he was the Vice President of a flavor and fragrance manufacturing company in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Ademola Adeleke’s Political Path
His political career began in 2001 with his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke. Following the death of his brother in 2017, he ran in and won the Osun-West 2017 by-election.

He also ran in the Governorship bye-election in Osun State on July 23, 2018, and won as the PDP candidate.

He was declared the winner of the governorship election in Osun State on September 22, 2018, but the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) declared it inconclusive.

On September 27, 2018, the state reran the election, and on July 5, 2019, the supreme court declared Gboyega Oyetola the winner.
