Bottega Veneta, a renowned luxury fashion house, has expanded its product line by launching a new collection of scented candles in volcano-glazed ceramic pots. This innovative move not only elevates the brand’s offerings but also taps into the growing trend of luxury home fragrances.

As of May 21, 2024, Bottega Veneta has announced the launch of a new range of fragrant candles. Handmade in Italy, the unique clay pots with a volcanic finish hold the candles, a nod to the house’s design ideals, which are firmly anchored in skilled craft.
The style of glazing pays homage to the city’s waterways and marble-adorned architecture, evoking the roots of Bottega Veneta, which was established in Venice in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. Additionally, each pot’s surface seems to be moving with the glaze’s finish, emulating the dynamic and elaborate leatherwork of design director Matthieu Blazy.
With this latest release, Bottega Veneta continues to establish itself as a leader in the luxury lifestyle market, catering not only to fashion enthusiasts but also to those with a discerning taste for exquisite home décor and fragrances.
The three unique scents that are created by extracting essential oils from the candles can be lit separately or together to create an olfactory triptych. The notes of each clay jar are color-coded. The Raintree candle, in green, combines mellow fig, aromatic thyme, and lavender absolute to create what Bottega Veneta describes as ‘a soft, verdant scent brimming with summer promise and Mediterranean warmth’.
Next, the Lantern candle (housed in a yellow pot) combines incense, suede rose, and vetiver for a spicy, suede-like ambience. The red jar, contains the Redstone scented candle, and blends plum nectar, tobacco, and cedarwood into a rich, leathery scent, with sweet amber notes. Once the mineral wax has burned down, the ceramic pots can then be reused around the home, as a decorative and functional object.
