Dr SID is from Delta State, but was born and raised in Lagos. His mother is a hairstylist and his father, Justus Esiri, an actor. His father was a member of the Order of Niger (MON) and is known for his part as Director of Village, a Nigerian popular comedy in 1989.
Dr. Sid life took a different turn after graduating from the Nigerian Air Force High School ikeja, SID went to the University of Ibadan, Ibadan (UI) to study dentistry and dental surgery. During his academy times, his gift for entertainment wasn’t hidden as he shared in plays, dance competitions and musicales, winning several awards on the course.
CAREER
Dr. SID inked a new label Trybe Records (which launched Nigerian hipsterism hop group Trybesmen) as a choreographer. He spent the three years on stint as a relief dancer for the Trybesmen. Dr. SID got his chance in front of the microphone when he was named a member of Da Trybe, and secured a place in music that sparked a revolution in Nigerian hipsterism. – hop,”OYA”in 2002 alongside Sasha, 2-Shotz, Timi, DEL and the Trybesmen (Eldee, Kb and Freestyle).

Dr. SID recorded first single” Do not Stop”and ranked# 1 in the MBI Top 10 for 8 weeks. His music career had to be intruded because it took a time to complete university degree.
He moved to the UK and worked with JJC, Felix Duke, KAS, R70, D’prince, D’Banj. Returning to Nigeria, he spent time working at Lagos University Hospital, also continued to serve his country in Yola, Adamawa state. He has also worked in several dental conventions combining dentistry and music.
