Nigerian ace comedian and actor Ali Baba has surprisingly replied a social media user identified as Kingsely Otis who suggested that marrying a virgin leads to a successful marriage.
The man posted on his social media page about why marrying a virgin is advantageous. He said that a virgin has no history of mistakes or emotional pain, is likely to love deeply, experiences everything in the relationship for the first time, is less likely to cheat, and has a better chance of having a successful marriage.
He wrote:
“Advantages of marrying a virgin:
1. No dirty past & trauma.
2. Has a high possibility to love.
3. You get to be the first in everything.
4. Less of a chance for her cheating on you.
5. You know her past (which is non-existing).
6. Higher possibility for a successful marriage.”
However, Ali Baba disagreed with this message, pointing out that it doesn’t always guarantee a perfect marriage just because someone is a virgin. He emphasized that there are challenges in any marriage, regardless of the partner’s sexual history.
He wrote;
“My friend’s brother married a virgin. 2004. She stabbed him to death, in 2006, because she thought he was cheating on her. Let’s be careful with the blanket profiling. May have come. Oh, one guy married a virgin, 22 or 23 years later after no fruit of the womb. The lady he left for the Virgin is in Houston doing Omugwuo. In the last story, a guy went into the village of Arondizogwu, a man goes to the village, marries an 18-year-old virgin, the lady comes to Lagos, 4 years later, her first 2 children belong to the neighbor’s security man”.
