 Actors Guild of Nigeria confirms Mr Ibu's passing

The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas has confirmed the death of one of its beloved veterans, John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu.

Glamsquad reported hours ago that Mr Ibu who has been battling health issues that led to the amputation of his two legs sadly passed away at the age of sixty-two.

According to reports, Mr Ibu whose family solicited funds from Nigerians died at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State on Saturday 2nd March 2024.

Confirming the news of Emeka Rollas took to his instagram page to sahre a picture of Mr Ibu and recount that it is indded a tragic loss for the Nollywood industry.

He noted that Mr Ibu’s manager of twenty four years, Mr Don Single Nwuszor disclosed that the deeased suffered cardiac arrest

Mr Emeka also discloed that veteran actress, Kate Henshaw lost her beloved mother in the early hous of Saturdday.

It is indeed a dark and sad time for Nollywood industy.

Glamsqud reported hors ago that Sisi Quadri, a vibrant comic Yoruba actor also passed away on Friday 1st March 2024.

He was laid to rest today at his home town in Iwo, Osun State.
