Veteran actor Chiwetalu Agu believes the society is a better place to live in because women now assume the role of chasing after men instead of men doing that.
“Today, women have taken over and the way they did that is, the approach they are adopting; men like it. Because men no longer go to brothels. They don’t go to the house of ‘ashawo’ (prostitutes) again. Because the women will confront you in the streets. They won’t wait for you to come and see them in the hotels. No…no! That time is gone,” the thespian said.
Chiwetalu Agu also expressed pity for commercial sex workers in brothels, noting that “Rather, I pity girls who are waiting for men in the hotel. No no no! He has no time again.”

Explaining why he feels the society is better with women being at the fore of intimate advances, the legendary actor opined that it has drastically reduced the rate of rape and sexual abuse in the society because men run from women.
“Society has changed! They are now in control and men are running,’’ Agu opined.
“Men are dodging. Society is better now because when men were mounting pressure, they were bound to be raped.
“If you refuse those days, they will organise and rape you, but today is better that way and to me is better that way.”
