With Tesla setting new deliverables records in 2021, a multiplication effect has been observed in prior years, as the company’s figures reveal that it increased from zero in 2011 to 936,172 vehicle deliverables in 2021. It took Tesla 11 years to attain this milestone.

Jon Erlichman’s account tweeted out the number of Tesla vehicle deliverables over the last 11 years. As can be seen in the graph below, the number of deliverables increased from 2,650 in 2012 to 936,172 last year.

According to CNBC, Tesla was able to deliver 184,800 vehicles during the first quarter of 2021 despite Model S and Model X manufacturing plummeting to zero. Furthermore, analysts were only anticipating the Elon Musk-owned company to deliver roughly 168,000 vehicles throughout this time frame.

Tesla Model 3 and Model Y Crossover

According to the report, the corporation was only able to construct Model 3 sedans and Model Y crossover SUVs during the aforementioned quarter. Tesla also did not produce any of its more premium Model X SUVs or Model S sedans, according to data.

During the specified time period, the company was able to deliver 2,020 Model S and Model X vehicles from inventory. This, however, accounts for less than 1% of overall deliveries. In a statement, Tesla stated that upgraded equipment was installed and tested in the first quarter of 2021.

Tesla’s Model S is going to be a cybertruck

The business has also stated that it is in the early phases of ramping up manufacturing for its revised versions of both the Model S and the Model X.

Elon Musk stated during an earnings call on January 27, 2021 that Tesla was able to bring forward both the Plaid Model S and the Model X vehicles, with the Model S delivered in February of the same year and the Model X delivered later.

Now, in the beginning of 2022, Tesla has progressed from focusing on its Model S and Model X to its more recent Cybertruck, which is slated to be released soon.
