Patience Ozokwor Dismisses Competition With Sola Sobowale

Legendary Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor has dismissed the possibility of a rivalry between her and fellow Nollywood star Sola Sobowale.

Ozokwor’s excellence in a movie role earned her the nickname “Mama Gee,’’ while Sola Sobowale’s exceptionality in Kemi Adetiba’s “King Of Boys” movie as lead actor earned her the nickname “King of Boys.”

The present generation of Nigerian youths were mostly children when both actors were at the peak of their careers and have grown to admire the duo, who are also an inspiration to numerous upcoming acts.

A Twitter user with the name Abas stirred up a debate on social media by posting pictures of both stars and asking the online community to choose their favourite among the two.

The tweet said: “Patience Ozokwor or Sola Sobowale.”

While people reacted to the polls, it caught the attention of Mama Gee, who suggested that the poll was unnecessary, insisting that both of them are trending.

Mama Gee said:

“My good friend and I are trending oo! My people, my people we hear you. Only love here…”

Patience Ozokwor and Sola Sobowale are some of the biggest stars in the Nigerian movie industry.

Both stars have appeared in over 100 Nollywood movies and have been paired in some movies.

Some of the hit movies that both stars have appeared in include “The Wedding Party.” Ozokwor and Sobowale are also proud Nigerian mothers. Sobowale once recounted how she had to abandon acting for a while to focus on her family.
