Fans were outraged by a social media video that showed the singer pushing a man fan who was dousing him in cash off stage and continuing to perform.

Iyanya responded to the harsh criticism he received by explaining in a tweet on his Twitter account that the fan was hitting his face with the money in response to the push.

“The guy kept hitting my face with the money, and I tried to hold his hand, but he kept doing it,” the author claimed. First, it’s rude to hit someone with something you’re spraying, regardless of how much.

Reactions of Nigerians:

He can get away with it this time, but maybe not the next. aramicom01 booze-fueled celebrity

“Usual Proud Iyanya,” said Vitus. Keep up your return to avoid fading as usual. This sense of pride you experience as a result of Project Fame has not changed you.

DSP Bright Edafe: “Normally, @Iyanya can be arrested for this if that guy files a formal report. I arrive peacefully.

“You’re broke,” said Justice Black. A person is assisting you. You are urging your assistant.

If it’s now overseas, you won’t do that, Mr. Cruise SA. You folks just treat Nigerian supporters in this way all the time. He was mistaken, although he was unaware of it. It was horrible to push him off the stage. I hold them responsible for continuing to observe your futile career on stage.

“Oga, you shouldn’t have pushed him in that way,” Favlked said. What if he was hurt because of that push? He’s a fan, so I doubt your adversary will want to throw money at you while you perform. Just accept responsibility and carry on; you’re a professional, not a sideshow performer.

@yunus salihu: Your bouncer, though, ought to have stopped him. Ask him to gradually descend. He may have lost control because he was so excited to see you. He still loves you in spite of everything, which is why. This gaskiya is somewhat harsh.

“Artiste that is still striving to get a hit song doesn’t push fans,” tweeted @kinqKudos.
