Original Wednesday Addams actress, Lisa Loring, dead at 64

At the age of 64, Lisa Loring, the actress who originated the role of Wednesday Addams on the first “Addams Family” television series, passed away, glamsquad reports.

Following a “massive stroke,” Loring was taken off life support on Saturday, Jan. 28, according to a Facebook post by her friend Laurie Jacobson.

 

I report the passing of our friend, Lisa Loring, with profound regret,” Jacobson wrote.

“She had a severe stroke 4 days ago as a result of smoking and high blood pressure. For three days, she had been on life support.”

 

On Saturday, Loring’s family decided to turn off her life support; the following night, she passed away.

 

“She is entrenched in the tapestry that is popular culture and in our hearts forever as Wednesday Addams,” Jacobson continued.

 

From 1964 through 1966, Loring played Wednesday at the age of just 6.
