My father passed away because we couldn’t pay for N70,000 hospital bed space – Odumodublvck

Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck has shared the heartbreaking story of losing his father to death because they couldn’t afford to pay for a hospital bed space.

The rapper recounted his early career as a struggling artist, notably the tragic loss of his father because his family couldn’t afford the N70,000 needed for a hospital bed.

He asserted that due to their poverty at the time, they were forced to bring his father home, where he eventually passed away.

The ‘Declan Rice’ crooner expressed his strong conviction that no musician paved the way for his musical success, citing his challenging experiences as the basis for this belief.

While acknowledging that no artist had directly paved the path for him, he admitted that other rappers had served as sources of inspiration for him.

On his X page, he tweeted

“When my father died my family was poor. We could not pay hospital bed space of 70k [N70,000]. We had to take him home.

“Coming to tell me about paving the way for me? That’s God, brother. No use your ego counter reason my reality, bros.
“I agree say you inspire me. But bros, you pave the way for nobody. Nobody!

“I hate when n*ggas try to play God.”
