Mohbad: Naira Marley and Sam Larry granted bail after weeks in detention

Controversial singer,  Naira Marley, and his aide, Sam Larry, have both been released from prison.

Benjamine Hundeyin, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer made this known on Friday. He disclosed that the Naira Marley and Sam Larry perfected their bail conditions granted by a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court.

Hundeyin, in a statement, said:

“Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”

The magistrate, on Monday, November 6 granted the duo bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible duties.

The court ruled. “As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department”.

The duo were arrested as part of an investigation into the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba better known as Mohbad. Videos of assaults against the late singer surfaced online.

Mohbad died in controversial circumstances on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

Before he passed away, the singer had cried out that he was facing harassment from his former record label, Marlian Music, which is owned by Marley.
