Just over a week after her tragic death, fashion designer Lauren Scott was laid to rest Tuesday at Hollywood Forever Funeral Home in Los Angeles.
According to a release sent by representatives, the ceremony was kept intimate, with boyfriend Mick Jagger, brother Randy Bambrough, Justinian Kfoury, Ira M. Hammons-Glass and Adam Glassman all saying a few words.
Jagger’s daughter Karis and actress Ellen Barkin both read poems. Jagger’s grandchildren, Mazie and Zak, read Psalm 23, while another of Jagger’s daughters, Jade, read Psalm 139, which begins:
1 You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Bambrough’s daughter Hannah read Shakespeare Sonnet 18, which famously begins “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?”
