Kelvin Ngozi Ikeduba was born on August 21, 1976. He is a Nigerian actor who in 2014 won the simplest Crossover Actor Award at the Yoruba Movie Academy Awards (YMAA) and is best known for his diversity in the Nigerian movie industry.

 

He has also featured in several Yoruba-language films produced exclusively by the Yoruba movie industry in Nigeria. Ikeduba received his primary and education in Lagos State, but to acquire a university degree, he moved to the town of Benin, a south-south geographical area of Nigeria, where he applied to the ‘University of Benin to study economics. Ikeduba was accepted and eventually obtained a degree in economics.

CAREER


In an interview, Ikeduba said he made his first appearance in the Nigerian movie industry in 2000. He described his adventure in the Nigerian movie industry as a coincidence, as he initially just wanted to accompany a lover to an audition for role, but when he got there he decided to participate too and he was successful because he was called back for a movie role.

Ikeduba’s ability to know and communicate in Nigeria’s three main languages has been at the guts of his career, he acknowledges and speaks about it publicly. Ikeduba began his acting career in the Nollywood with the aid of Femi Ogedengbe, who gave him a film role during a movie that he produced titled Omo Alhaja. Ikeduba was tagged in the Nigerian movie enterprise as a ‘Bad Boy’, which he associated to his appearance, so in almost every movie he starred in, he was always the antagonist.
