Afrobeats award-winning singer, Tems reveals she started getting death threats when rumours spread that she was expecting a child with American rapper, Future.
Glamsquad recalls that the singer attended a Burberry fashion show in London, where she was seen with what appeared to be a baby bump.
There were speculations that she was pregnant and Netizens suggested that the potential father of the child was Future.
Reacting to the news then, the ‘Me and You’ crooner slammed Netizens and stated the unimaginable.
In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Tems disclosed that she had received direct messages on social media criticizing her choice of American rapper Future, who was purportedly the cause of her reported pregnancy.
Moreover, despite their collaboration with Drake on the Grammy-winning track “Wait For U,” Tems asserted that she had never personally encountered the American rapper.
She said:
“When I heard [the rumours] that I was pregnant, I didn’t actually think anybody believed it. I didn’t know it was serious until I started getting messages like death threats, like, ‘How dare you? Of all the people in the world, Future, really?’ And I’ve never met him in my life. So it’s crazy.”
