The ‘All Over’ crooner recently told The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos that he believes in hard work but not fate.

“I believe in hard work,” he remarked. I’m not one of them who believes in fate. I don’t believe in fate. I believe you can acquire whatever you want.

“When you set your mind to anything as a human being… Our intuition, I believe, is our God. When you can delude yourself into believing in something. You can truly do it if you think about it as if you’re going to do it tomorrow, as insane as that may sound. That’s how strong your intellect is.”

During the conversation, the Mavin Records musician also revealed that his current song ‘Maria’ was inspired by a true life experience.

He claims the song is about a woman who rejected his approaches many years ago.

He said even though the chase was shortlived, the feeling of rejection has proven to be lifelong.
