He made the remarks in the context of the divorce proceedings between Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi and his Spanish wife, Hiba Abouk.

In a video he posted on his Instagram page, Nedu said that Abouk married Hakimi because she expected to divorce him after a few years and take half of his fortune.

He went on to say that the richest lady in the world today amassed her fortune through a divorce.

“I don’t know if una don see that video, message, or pictures of that PSG footballer they call Hakimi, who is 24-years-old and his wife has filed for divorce,” he stated. And the divorce she’s asking for, she’s talking about getting half of what the guy is worth.

“You see how marriage doesn’t die?” Indeed, if people believe anything for marriage before, the thing that is going on now with marriage for the entire world, people do not want to enter marriage again. Most women, some of them, make some individuals not want to marry because they convert the thing into a poverty alleviation programme.”

Remember that Nedu’s marriage to Uzoamaka Ohiri fell apart in 2018.

In 2021, the comedian accused his ex-wife of paternity fraud, claiming that their first child was not his.

In an interview, Uzoamaka stated that the paternity of their son was never a “secret,” and that the actor was aware that she came into the marriage with a pregnancy from her prior relationship.
