Details emerged as two rappers arrested for racist attack on Nigerian man in Italy

Two well-known Italian ‘rappers,’ a subgenre of rap music, have been arrested in connection with a racially motivated attack on a Nigerian factory worker near Monza in Rome, glamsquad reports.

Jordan and Traffik, the duo’s stage names, were apprehended on August 14, 2022.

 

They allegedly stole the 41-year-old Nigerian man’s bike and backpack at the Carnate rail station, according to Italian media.

 

 

 

“They were allegedly armed with knives and yelled at the victim, “we want to kill you because you are black,” according to police.

 

 

 

Jordan, 25, of Brianza, is known to police for making statements and threats against officers and television personalities.

 

 

Traffik, a 26-year-old Roman, has a history of robbery and other minor offenses.

 

 

They were arrested for aggravated robbery with a weapon and racial discrimination.

 

 

Trap is a hip hop subgenre that emerged in the early 2000s in the southern United States.

The term “trap” comes from the Atlanta slang term for a house where only drugs are sold.
