Nigerian Hip Hop heavy weight Davido emerged the winner among nominees that included female Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage.
There were other nominees such as Booba (FRANCE), Cassper Nyovest (SA), Dadju (FRANCE), Distruction Boyz (SA), Fally Ipupa (DR CONGO), J Hus (UK), NISKA (FRANCE), Stefflon Don (UK) and Stormzy (UK).
While giving an award speech, the singer praised his team and his condolence to Dbanj who lost his song on sunday and concluding with why Africa is blessed encouraging everyone to visit Africa and eat the food, wear the clothes and support the rich culture.
He also spoke about his forthcoming album which drops this year and open to worldwide collaborations.
