Award-winning Afrobeats singer, Davido has opened up about his selective approach towards international partnerships.
During a podcast interview ‘Sway’s Universe,’ Davido shared his thoughts on future collaborations. He stated that Chris Brown is the only American artist he has actively pursued a collaboration with.
According to the “Na Money” the only international collaboration he would consider is with Barbadian singer, Rihanna. This comes after Rihanna praised Davido’s hit song ‘Unavailable,’ declaring it as her favourite.

He expressed optimism about the possibility of collaborating with Rihanna, especially after she endorsed his song ‘Unavailable.’
He said,
“Aside Chris Brown, I’m not going to disturb myself for any other American collaboration. Rihanna said ‘Unavailable’ is her best song, so I’m waiting to work with her”.
Discussing his collaboration with Chris Brown, Davido emphasized that their joint track, ‘Blow My Mind,’ represents a high point of synergy between Afrobeats and American music.
“Blow My Mind’ with Chris Brown was the first US x Afrobeats collaboration to go crazy aside ‘One Dance’.”
