Singer and actor Olawale Oloforo has described Grammy Awards winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy as “sleazy, cheap, very unoriginal and very fake”.

During a recent interview on TVC, Brymo said Burna Boy did not deserve to win a Grammy with his “Twice As Tall” album because he lacks “originality,’’ while stressing that most of Burna Boy’s songs are samples.

Brymo said:

“I saw a video where he (Burna Boy) was saying that he was the Jesus of Afrobeats. And he put Davido and Wizkid on some other mountains like that. I think he (Burna Boy) is sleazy, he is cheap, he is a thief. Very unoriginal. Very fake. Every of his song is a sample or a stolen slogan. Who does that? And who awards you Grammy for that?”

And tried to create another sets of numbers ones: ‘Wizkid is the first. Davido Burna Boy…’ No, no, no. They all are thieves, also quizzed:

“Do you know how much struggles Baba (Fela) went through to create afrobeat? Anyways, I think it’s a whole big problem that we have.”
