Basketmouth recently admitted that he and AY were never buddies and that they had never taken a photo together in an interview with Nedu Wazobia.

Netizens dug up several old pictures of the two comedians together in response to this, which triggered a number of responses online.
The incident has been addressed by Bovi, who also collaborated with the two, who clarified that the image in question was simply a snapshot of Basketmouth and his fan taken in 2004.
Additionally, Bovi has begged AY not to be angry with him and to avoid bringing him up in his conversation with Chude.
Bovi wrote;
“This is Basketmouth and a fan! 2004! Ay no vex o! Before you go call Chude for me!”
