One of Nigerian young songstress, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe better known as Ayra Starr has reflected on her life six years ago.

Taking to her Instagram page, the Mavin Records signee went down and gave gratitude to her creator for how far he had brought her.

The 21-year-old emphasized that the good Lord has indeed blessed her.

According to her, six years ago she used to sit outside with her grandmother, selling vegetables and singing to anyone who would listen.

However, tables have now turned as she noted how people now pay to watch her perform her music on stage.

Ayraa Starr wrote:

“Will forever be grateful for where I am in my life, God really blessed me

“6 years ago this used to be me selling  vegetables and fruits with my grandma, singing to whoever wanted to hear me. Now I people are paying to watch me perform”

Ayraa Star musical career 

Ayraa Starr’s gained recognition after signing with Mavin Records in 2020. Her music blends Afropop, R&B, and soul, and she is known for her captivating voice and emotionally charged lyrics.

In 2021, Ayraa Starr gained widespread fame with her self-titled EP, notably with the popular track “Away,” which secured a spot at number four on Nigeria’s TurnTable Top 50 chart for two weeks. The song also reached number 17 on the Billboard Top Triller Global chart, setting the stage for her subsequent full-length mixtape, “19 & Dangerous” released in the same year. She continues to make waves in the Nigerian music scene with her unique sound and style.
